With more and more families opting for something that’s got that extra space and power over the typical sedan, the market has really blown up for great, affordable family crossovers. Today we’re comparing one model that we sell here, the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, with a popular competitor, the Ford Escape. Take a look at this side-by-side comparison of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee vs the 2014 Ford Escape to see for yourself: more We’re comparing the two models at their base trim level. For the Cherokee, that’s the Sport model with front-wheel drive, and in the Escape the base model is the S, also with front-wheel drive. Both have higher trim levels available and 4x4 capability is offered on both models as well. Do more in the Cherokee! You’ll notice on the chart that in some areas, the two crossovers are pretty well matched up. The MSRP is nearly identical, and the gas mileage is exactly the same for both city and highway driving.
